Yes, you saw it right. I guess that’s what keeps me coming back to Bakerzin. I know I’ve written my brunch experience in Bakerzin before, but how can I keep such a good news from you?
So last December, in the middle of dreading last days of work before the holiday season, I was surprised by Bakerzin with these new menu they have prepared for brunch. As I entered Kota Kasablanka and headed to Bakerzin, my head was craving for sweet desserts. To my surprise, what awaits me were a lot of savoury food. It seemed to me that Bakerzin was trying to get out from their comfort zone, which has always been sweet desserts and cakes.
First, check out these eclairs.
While eclairs are best known to be sweet, Bakerzin came out of the box and created a set of savoury eclairs. They have rendang, salmon and chicken as the topping. To me, it was a wonderful opener! These finger food was very much right to start the day with something light.
Now for the main course, these were some of my options.
It was too confusing for me. It was probably one of the hardest brunch decision I had to make at 10 AM. Everything on the menu looked so good!
After much considerations, I decided to try Dory With Lemon Cream. It was tasty in every bite! The dory fish was cooked perfectly soft and the potato waffle added a bit of crunchiness into the texture.
Just as I thought I was done, they told me that as their newest creation, they had brought a bit of Japanese into this western restaurant. They are now serving Poke Bowl!
Now if you don’t know, a Poke Bowl is a bowl filled with raw salmon, avocado and a few other fresh vegetables mixed with tasty ingredients. I couldn’t just settle for a spoon!
Don’t wait any longer. You really need to visit any Bakerzin restaurant as soon as they still have these food on the menu.
