The past few weeks have been crazily hectic for DR and I. It’s literally the “you-just-saw-a-meteor-on-the-sky kind of crazy! Pardon the exaggeration. But that’s how I feel at the moment.
In the middle of his thesis writing and my 9 to 5 work, DR & I had been entrusted with several new opportunities and responsibilities. Suddenly we have a whole new schedule added to our calendar. For the past 14 days we have been having continuous after hours meeting, some of them include staying up late and sacrificing our precious sleeping time. You literally can see our eyebags and dark circles from miles away. Even as I’m typing this, we’re still stuck in the office, chasing deadlines and ticking our to-do-list one task at a time. It’s Thursday, 11:48 PM right now, by the way. And this post have to be published tomorrow morning.
The reason behind all this is that after months of preparation we are finally reaping what we have sowed in the past few months through our start up project, Kata Imaji. What was once in our mind had finally been born into reality. What was once just a mere idea had finally been here in our hands.
Just three months ago, Kata Imaji was still a concept that I shared to some of my few circles through a casual convo. One of the first few who listened to it was a cousin of mine who lived in Bali. During my last trip to Bali, I spent some of my few final hours in Bali to catch up with my “long-time-no-see” cousin. He gave some precious input about this blog, interesting facts about the digital marketing industry, and we exchanged some valuable life lessons in between.
We hung out at the 1 month old (at that time) coffee shop, Titik Temu (meeting point). Located strategically at one of Bali’s most hype area, Seminyak, Titik Temu offers a homey ambience for you to sip a cup of good coffee while enjoying a casual convo with friends under the sun.
The seating area on its wooden stairs is definitely a reason to stay longer that gives you the “chillin-at-your-own-backyard” experience. I ordered a glass of Affogato as I was needing a good doze of caffeine, yet at the same time was craving for a vanilla ice cream due to Bali’s hot weather. The last golden hour in Bali was well spent.
Sigh. Writing about all this made me want to skip this hustle and teleport myself to Bali for another holiday. But hey, where’s the fun in being a twenty something if you don’t get to experience some weeks of staying up late just in the name of chasing deadlines?
Write to you later,
