Rain has been falling heavily in these period of time in Indonesia, especially Jakarta. As a lover of beaches and Jakarta’s warm climate, I hated the rain. It slows activities, creates traffic jams and destroys my productive mood.
I bet that this is a global occurrence that happens to everybody. The rain comes down and instead of it washing the pain of yesterday, it actually brought romantic feelings or even the pain again. To me, the feeling did happen on a rainy Friday. Plus, it destroyed my working mood. Perhaps the coffee shop I was in did a great impact on my mood. Say Something coffee shop is not for the weak!
This coffee shop has a melancholic scent all over the air. Instead of feeling energized for work, I actually felt very relaxed. After a couple of light reads and a cup of coffee, I put on some Norah Jones to accompany me in that rainy day.
After turning on my laptop, I found it very hard to concentrate to finish what I was supposed to do. After a few articles written and published, I gave in to the temptation and settle in with the gloomy weather for the rest of the day.
With two floors inside the coffee shop, the place was quiet and spacious. At that point of time, the second floor was filled with mothers who were waiting for their kids to finish school. The first floor was filled with a few 9 to 5 workers on their coffee break.
Chatters filled the air, yet the place was quiet enough for you to listen to your own thoughts. Does it still happen to you regularly? Is listening to your own thoughts something that we still do as a part of our daily schedule?
Except for the average internet connection, everything was great. For that, I would give Say Something Coffee a rating of 8/10.
